#2. Diet

We have always known that a diet rich in fruits and vegetables is essential to prevent infections and keep our body healthy. Our body, is made up of a system of organs, which includes our lungs, that works together, carrying out processes that keep us alive. Build up of toxins in the body could burden the organs and prevent them from functioning well. Do you know that the pairing of fruits and vegetables, other than supplying nutrients, has the ability to perform the function of body detox?

For instance, leek, one the most commonly-found vegetables, when paired with ginger, could induce sweating to cleanse toxin from the body. However, intense sweating may cause dehydration, so pairing them with tomato could help to control the perspiration. DXN L-Vegmix is a vegetable soup mix of dehydrated leeks, tomatoes, dates and ginger with no sodium, additives and preservatives. Detox your body, keep the organs healthy, with a quick and easy vegetable soup, DXN L-Vegmix.

#3. Food Supplements

(A) Respiratory Health Supplements (Cordyceps, Tiger Milk Mushroom, Andrographis paniculata) It's important to strengthen your respiratory system to get prepared in the midst of this coronavirus pandemic. If unfortunately, a person gets infected with coronavirus, the chances of those with a stronger respiratory capacity getting seriously ill may be lower. The reason being when a person gets infected, the body responds with inflammation in the lungs. Inflammation prevents the lungs from being able to oxygenate the blood and remove carbon dioxide, which leads the patient to gasp for air and suffer more seriously. Based on the information gathered from a few clinical papers, Cordyceps, Tiger Milk Mushroom and Andrographis paniculata have been traditionally used for years as a health tonic for the respiratory system [1,2,3,]. Thus, supplement yourselves with this tonic to enhance your respiratory health in order to fight against infections!

(B) Immune modulator (Ganoderma)

The immune system plays a pivotal role in responding against harmful compounds and thus sustaining respiratory functions. According to published literature, Ganoderma lucidum has been shown to support immune functions and enhance immune cell proliferation[4]. Therefore, daily supplementation of Ganoderma lucidum is vital to support the optimal immune functioning of our lungs.

Like the rest of your body, your lungs need care and attention. A little effort from you may keep your lungs working optimally for life!

The Truth About Vitamins

Vitamins, the ultimate performer in one’s body that help absorb food nutrients, repair tissues, and strengthen the immune system are also known as micronutrients. This is because you only need a minuscule amount of it in your body!

A quick Google search yields that vitamins are organic compounds that come from the food you eat, supplements you take, and the environment you’re in. So now maybe you’re asking “If I only need a tiny amount of vitamins & minerals and I’m already eating healthy, have a balanced diet and live in a nice environment, should I still continue taking supplements?”, well, that totally depends!

You need at least 30 essential vitamins and minerals which your body cannot produce alone, that’s why supplements are important to help increase the level of micronutrients your body needs to perform well.

But then again, our bodies and diet differ from one another. You may be lacking some Vitamin C, which you could get from eating citrus fruits, and getting enough Vitamin D, which you could get from consuming fatty fish and seafood.

Well, you may already have an idea of what you’re lacking and getting, but it’s still better to consult your doctor about this.

Oh, and for your supplement needs, always remember that there’s a DXN Store Worldwide!
